| Man airlifted after tumble in Little Falls

A 45-year-old man was airlifted to hospital on Saturday morning after he fell down a flight of stairs at his residence in Little Falls, west of Johannesburg.

ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said when paramedics arrived on the scene, local authorities were already in attendance.

“The officers had already begun to gain access to the patient‘s locked residence,” he said.

Meiring said once inside, the paramedics had found a 45-year-old man lying at the bottom of the stairs.

“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious head injury,” he said.

Meiring said the man had been treated for his injuries and was provided with advanced life support interventions before he was airlifted by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter to a nearby private hospital.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
